Project Management Training (level IPMA D)
Why this initiative?
Essensys equals top level quality interim management services.
Flawless execution of an interim management mission demands a highly professional project management approach to guarantee the successful realisation of the mission’s objectives that were agreed with the customer.
Setting up the right management environment (processes, roles and responsibilities, rules) to deliver the expected project’s deliverables, on time, within budget, with the expected quality and in such a way that the deliverables are adapted by the users allowing the commissioning organisation to reach its business objectives, is not a straightforward job.
The interim manager must know how to:
- plan and control his project
- act in a transparent manner for the sake of the whole project
- satisfy the needs and expectations of the customer, the users, possibly the partners delivering goods and services for the project and other interested parties
- involve specialists when needed, keeping their respect when he has to make, sometimes difficult, decisions
- motivate the specialists to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of the project
- in a fast changing context with many interested parties and external influencing factors.
What can delegates expect?
This training will give the delegates a solid theoretical and practical base of both the ‘hard’ instrumental and ‘soft’ social aspects of project management required in the context of an interim management mission.
It based on the IPMA (International Project Management Association) Competence Baseline, describing the technical, behavioural and contextual competences (knowledge, skills, experience, attitudes) required to successfully manage a project within an organisation.
The last session will prepare the delegates for the IPMA D certification exam. Upon passing this exam, the delegates will receive the IPMA Certified Project Management Associate certificate.
No prior project management experience or knowledge is required. Clearly some experience with project management is an advantage and will reduce the time and effort the delegate needs to invest in the preparation of the training sessions and of the certification exam.
Basic general management knowledge is a prerequisite.
Programme and topics
Participation to the IPMA D certification exam is included in the training fee. This exam is organised by an accredited external examination and certification authority (CITO).
